Agreed to Collaborate on Establishing Specialized Economic and Financial Autonomous High School
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is launching the establishment of an autonomous private high school to cultivate financial talent and improve the local educational environment.
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yun-su) announced that on the 3rd at 2 p.m., it will sign a "Business Agreement for the Establishment of an Autonomous Private High School to Foster Financial Talent in Busan" with Busan City, Korea Exchange, and BNK Financial Group at the International Protocol Room of Busan City Hall.
This agreement involves the Busan Office of Education, Busan City, Korea Exchange, and BNK Financial Group, who share the need to enhance the status of Busan as a financial hub and to cultivate financial talent befitting that status.
Attendees are expected to include Superintendent Ha Yun-su, Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon, Korea Exchange Chairman Jung Eun-bo, BNK Financial Group Chairman Bin Dae-in, and other officials.
The four organizations will join forces to establish an autonomous private high school that will operate specialized curricula focused on economics and finance, in accordance with the agreement.
The Busan Office of Education will provide administrative support for the school establishment and realize education aligned with the goals of the autonomous private high school, while Busan City will cooperate in administrative support for the school establishment.
Korea Exchange and BNK Financial Group plan to jointly bear the costs necessary for the establishment and operation of the autonomous private high school and ensure fair student selection without special privileges for employees' children.
Through this agreement, the Busan Office of Education expects not only to cultivate talent that will enhance the status of Busan as an international financial hub but also to raise the educational level in the Busan area through corporate social contributions.

Superintendent Ha Yun-su of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education said, "Our office is fully committed to creating conditions for Busan talents to settle by reforming the vocational high school system to meet local industrial demands and promoting the establishment of this finance-specialized autonomous private high school. We will work closely with the local community so that Busan education can become 'the center of education in Korea,' beyond Busan."
