People Power Party, First Meeting of Poll Primary TF... "Preventing the Myeong Taegyun Incident"
The People Power Party and its think tank, the Yeouido Research Institute, formed the 'Public Opinion Poll Primary Task Force (TF)' and held their first meeting on the 2nd to begin discussions on improving the system related to public opinion polls conducted during the party's primary process.

View original imageThe TF is composed of Yoo Uidong, head of the Yeouido Research Institute, along with the institute's deputy director, head of the public opinion polling office, the People Power Party's planning and coordination director, organization director, legal advisory committee members, and party audit committee members.
Previously, Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, announced that he would form a TF to improve the system after allegations arose regarding manipulation of public opinion polls by political broker Myeong Taegyun.

Director Yoo said, "The purpose is to identify the problems in the current system that allowed incidents like the Myeong Taegyun case to occur, find where the leaks are, and make improvements," adding, "The schedule is flexible, but the goal is to operate the TF until early next year and propose system improvement measures."
