Gyeonggi-do Releases 'AI Utilization Game Development Guide'... Support for Small and Medium Game Companies
Gyeonggi Province on the 2nd released the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bot Creation Guide' through the Gyeonggi Global Game Center website (gnext.or.kr).
The guide was created based on the experience of Exogames, a production support company for the 'Future Technology Game Activation' project promoted by Gyeonggi Province, which developed an actual game using the AI production tool 'Unity ML-AGENT'.
The Future Technology Game Activation project supports small and medium-sized game developers to effectively utilize new technologies and strengthen their game development capabilities.
The guide contains practical instructions for integrating AI technology into games, including methods for making game characters think and move autonomously, as well as development case studies.

Exogames is developing a multiplayer roguelite game applying AI technology called 'SQUIDWAR' and is scheduled to release it in the first half of next year with development funding of 100 million KRW. Kim Tae-geun, Director of the Digital Innovation Division, stated, "Since COVID-19, the game industry has identified convergence with future technologies such as artificial intelligence as a key task," adding, "We will actively support game development based on new technologies to nurture game startup companies with competitiveness in the global market."
