Industrial Medal Awarded to Choi Heon, Vice President of Cheil Worldwide
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 2nd that it will award government honors to sixteen individuals, including Jeong Seong-su, former CEO of HS Ad, who contributed to the development of the advertising industry this year.
Former CEO Jeong will be awarded the Silver Tower Industrial Medal in recognition of his 35 years of work in the advertising industry, during which he advanced advertising techniques and set exemplary cases of digital transformation. A Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism official explained, "We also considered his role in overseeing the Korea Tourism Organization's 'Feel the Rhythm of Korea' campaign, which enhanced the national brand and contributed to industry-academia exchange and nurturing future talents."
The Industrial Medal will be awarded to Choi Heon, Vice President of Cheil Worldwide. His efforts in introducing and developing new technologies and publishing advertising reports, which advanced the advertising industry, were highly evaluated.
The Presidential Citation will be awarded to three individuals: Park Jun-ho, Center Director of Innocean; Park Seung-woon, CEO of Mirae INC; and Kim Dong-yeol, CEO of Inumedia. Director Park contributed to domestic industrial development through campaigns such as SK Hynix's 'Regional Coexistence.' CEO Park helped small business owners secure advertising competitiveness through the Design Center. CEO Kim was recognized for his contributions to the promotion of the outdoor advertising industry, including filing patents for outdoor advertising technology.
The Prime Minister's Citation will be awarded to three individuals: Choi Young-seop, CEO of Chai Communication; Kim Su-jin, Head of Daehong Planning; and Shim Hyun-jun, CEO of Trinity Factory.
Eight individuals, including Kim Dae-won, Executive Creative Director (ECD) of HSAD; Kim Tae-hwan, CEO of Creative Meot; and Heo Tae-heung, Managing Director of Mezzomedia, will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Citation.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been selecting and awarding contributors annually since 1992 to promote the advertising industry. The awards ceremony will be held at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, during the '2024 Korea Advertising Festival' on the 3rd.
