Expansion After Establishment in First Half... Sharing Audit Best Practices and Techniques
Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byung-jin) announced on the 29th that it held the "Busan-type MEGA Audit Council Meeting" on the 26th at the corporation's educational institution, BTC Academy, to strengthen the audit cooperation system within the Busan region.
This council was established in June of this year, led by the corporation, to enhance internal audit expertise together with Busan Urban Corporation, Busan Facilities Corporation, and Busan Environment Corporation, which are public corporations under Busan City.
The council operates with biannual regular meetings to share excellent internal audit cases and audit achievements, discuss audit techniques, and facilitate practical-level exchanges of audit work.
The meeting hosted by the corporation was attended by 35 people, including Kim Cheok-su, Auditor of Busan Transportation Corporation, Lee Soo-won, Auditor of Busan Urban Corporation, and related staff from each institution. Notably, Yoon Hee-yeon, Chairperson of the Busan City Audit Committee, participated to discuss the expansion and development plans of the council.
The main agenda items included △ exploring cooperation methods for regular cross-audits between institutions △ sharing improvement cases of Busan Transportation Corporation audits considering the special characteristics of the railway sector. To strengthen audit capabilities, a special lecture on audit techniques and best practices was also conducted by Kim Hae-jo, Senior Auditor of the Board of Audit and Inspection.

Kim Cheok-su, Standing Auditor of Busan Transportation Corporation, said, “I hope this meeting helped establish an organic cooperation system among public institutions in the Busan region, improving work efficiency,” and added, “Through close exchanges and the establishment of an advanced audit culture, we expect to enhance internal and external trust in the regional public sector.”
