The starting exam numbers by district will be drawn on the 27th, with Superintendent Lim Tae-hee personally participating in the lottery at the Southern Office of the Provincial Office of Education. Exam numbers are assigned separately by district and gender, but the starting point is applied equally to both male and female students.
The lottery for the "starting point (assignment starting point)" and "interval number (degree of skipping)" for each school, which serve as the criteria for assigning new students to post-equalization high schools (general high schools and autonomous public high schools) in the 2025 academic year, will be held at locations designated by the respective equalization district education support offices between the 21st and 28th.
The lottery targets 201 schools (including 6 autonomous public high schools) in nine equalization districts within the province (Suwon, Seongnam, Anyang area, Bucheon, Goyang, Gwangmyeong, Ansan, Uijeongbu, and Yongin) for the school starting points and interval numbers.
Each lottery will be attended by the principal and the chairperson of the school operation committee of each school. The school principal will draw the starting point, and the chairperson of the school operation committee will draw the interval number using a computer program.
The drawn starting points and interval numbers will be used as the lottery criteria for assigning students to the respective high schools. The list of assigned students will be announced on January 7, 2025, and the final student assignment schools will be announced on the 21st of the same month after the lottery.
