City of Gijang, a Lifelong Learning City for the Disabled, Holds 'Disability Awareness Improvement Campaign'
Busan Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) will hold a 'Disability Awareness Improvement Campaign' until December 12.
This campaign is being promoted as part of the 'Gijang-gun Lifelong Learning City Project for People with Disabilities.' From November 25 to 28, it will take place at Jeonggwan Library, and from December 9 to December 12, it will be held in the lobby on the first floor of the Gijang-gun Office.
The campaign features an introduction to 'Etiquette by Disability Type' along with an 'Exhibition of Works' by participants of the lifelong learning city programs for people with disabilities.
The introduction to 'Etiquette by Disability Type' uses the writings and drawings of Da-eun Lee, a developmental disability artist, to present etiquette for different disability types such as developmental disabilities, visual impairments, and hearing impairments through panels, postcards, and leaflets, helping residents more easily understand the necessary etiquette for each disability type.
Additionally, the 'Exhibition of Works' will showcase pieces created by participants of the 'Developmental Disability Artist Nurturing Seed C-Art (Gijang Disabled Welfare Center)' program and the 'Ceramic Craft (Gijang Disabled Independent Living Center)' program, providing an opportunity for residents to communicate and empathize through the artworks.
