Changnyeong-gun Receives Minister of the Interior and Safety Award at the 14th Local Government Productivity Awards
Selection of Local Governments in Areas such as Regional Economy, Administration, Financial Capacity, and Safety and Health
Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 27th that it was selected as an excellent institution in the productivity index measurement category at the ‘14th Local Government Productivity Awards’ ceremony and received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award.
This award is hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and organized by the Korea Productivity Center.

View original imageThe ‘Local Government Productivity Awards (大賞)’ is an evaluation that comprehensively measures the efforts and capabilities of local governments to improve public services and residents’ quality of life from a productivity perspective through objective statistical indicators.
This evaluation was conducted on 139 local governments that voluntarily applied out of 226 local governments nationwide, and is divided into the productivity index measurement category, which measures and evaluates local government competitiveness and quality of life, and the excellent productivity case category.

County Governor Seong Nakin said, “This award proves the result of all public officials working together with one mind to improve Changnyeong-gun’s administrative capabilities and residents’ quality of life,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to improve the quality of life that residents can feel and to achieve sustainable regional development.”

Meanwhile, the county achieved the productivity award for three consecutive years by winning ‘Excellence’ in the residential environment field in 2022 and ‘Encouragement’ in the economic field in 2023.
