Focused on Stabilizing and Advancing Big Hit Music
Big Hit Music, home to groups such as BTS and Tomorrow X Together, has appointed Shin Seonjeong GM (General Manager) as its new CEO.
Newly appointed CEO Shin Seonjeong joined Big Hit Entertainment, the predecessor of HYBE, in 2010 and played a key role in the birth and early growth of the global artist BTS.
On the 26th, Big Hit stated, "Shin led the advancement of the trainee development system by serving as head of HYBE's T&D (Training & Development) division and GM, overseeing trainee selection and the development and operation of education programs tailored to the unique characteristics of each HYBE label." They added, "Artists who debuted through the T&D program include BTS, Tomorrow X Together, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, and &TEAM."
In recognition of these achievements, CEO Shin was named in the ‘2022 Billboard 40 Under 40,’ which highlights young leaders under 40 driving the global music industry, and was also included in the ‘MULTI SECTOR’ category of the ‘2023 Billboard Women in Music,’ which honors female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have made significant impacts on the music industry.
Shin Youngjae, who led Big Hit Music for four years since 2020, will focus on his role as the inaugural CEO of HYBE MUSIC GROUP APAC, overseeing domestic and Japanese multi-label music business operations.
