On the 14th, the district received a donation of 30 million KRW from Jang Gwi-bong, an advisor of the Hyosarang Volunteer Association in Sangbong 2-dong, for the "My Tree Planting Project." The "My Tree Planting Project" is a program where residents voluntarily donate to plant and maintain trees in the "Mangwoo History and Culture Park," where figures symbolizing modern and contemporary history rest. The donated funds will be used to plant trees suitable for the park's ecological environment and to maintain them continuously.
Additionally, on the 18th, the local moving company volunteer group "Bongseonhwa (Volunteer, Good Deeds, Harmony)" donated 50 blankets to help vulnerable groups stay warm during the winter. Since its establishment in 2015, Bongseonhwa has been a reliable supporter of the community through free moving services and seasonal goods donations. The donated blankets will be distributed to single elderly residents and households with severe disabilities in the area.
Furthermore, on the 21st, the Korea National Tax Service Alumni Association donated 135 bags of rice (5kg each). The association has been contributing to the welfare of the community by consistently providing goods and tax education. The rice will be distributed to elderly individuals living alone through welfare facilities such as the Sinnae Senior Welfare Center, the Municipal Jungnang Senior Welfare Center, and 16 neighborhood community service centers.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am very thankful that warm support continues throughout the district. These helping hands will be a great force in the development of Jungnang-gu and in creating a happy community for all."
