Netmarble Continues 'Nahonrep' Legend with Raven 2 and King Arthur
Raven2 Expands Service Area to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau
New Title 'King Arthur: Legend Rises' Reinterpreting 'Arthurian Legend' Also Anticipated
9 Games to be Released by Next Year
Netmarble, which is thriving with the global hit 'Solo Leveling: Arise,' will continue its global expansion in the fourth quarter with 'Raven 2' and 'King Arthur: Legend Rise.'
According to Netmarble on the 25th, the blockbuster massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'Raven 2' expanded its service regions to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on the 20th.
'Raven 2' is the official sequel to 'Raven,' the grand prize winner of the 2015 Korea Game Awards, and a highly anticipated title that ranked in the top 3 in sales on both major domestic markets after its release in May.
Netmarble explained, "Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau are regions traditionally strong in the MMORPG genre. Therefore, we decided to open 'Noah,' the first global world of Raven 2, where Korean and Greater China users can gather to enjoy and compete in the game together."
Following the launch of Raven 2 in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, on the 27th, 'King Arthur: Legend Rise,' a highly anticipated title developed by Netmarble's North American subsidiary Kabam, will be launched globally.
This game is a collectible strategy RPG that deals with the representative medieval European literature 'The Knights of the Round Table.' It breathes new life into the legend of King Arthur, who wields the famous sword 'Excalibur' and fights for the Kingdom of Britain.
The core fun element of King Arthur: Legend Rise lies in the legendary heroes with unique abilities and skills. Users can build their own teams by considering various strategic factors such as character attribute affinities and weather conditions.
Netmarble plans to release nine games by next year, starting with the expansion of the service regions for 'Raven 2' and the global launch of 'King Arthur: Legend Rise' in the fourth quarter. First, in the first half of next year, four games including 'King of Fighter AFK,' 'Game of Thrones: Kingsroad,' and 'Seven Knights Reverse' will be released. In the following second half, 'Heir of Blood,' 'Seven Deadly Sins: Origin,' 'Mongil: STAR DIVE,' and 'Demis Reborn' will be launched.
All upcoming releases except for 'King of Fighter AFK' are being prepared as 'multi-platform' titles. 'Solo Leveling: Arise,' which struck the global game market after its release in May, will also expand its platforms to Steam and consoles next year.
