Seodaemun-gu Overpass, Vehicle Crossing Center Line Accident... 1 Driver Dead
At around 8:24 a.m. on the 23rd, a passenger car traveling from Hyeonjeo Overpass in Hyeonjeo-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, towards Dongnimmun, crossed the center line and collided with a passenger car on the opposite side of the road near Geumhwa Tunnel.
According to the police and fire authorities, the driver of the car that crossed the center line, a man in his 20s, was transported to the hospital while receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in a state of cardiac arrest but died.
A man in his 30s who was riding with him and a man in his 40s who was driving the car on the opposite side of the road were also injured and taken to the hospital.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident based on the vehicle's black box and other evidence.

During the accident response, the road was temporarily closed, causing traffic congestion on Sajik-ro from Sajik-dong to Dongnimmun, with speeds dropping to around 2 km/h.
