Busan Digital Innovation Academy SW Development Contest... 5 Teams Awarded
The team of graduates from the Digital Smart Busan Academy Project Group at Pukyong National University (Director: No Maeng-seok) excelled by winning five awards at the software (SW) development contest held during the 2024 Busan Digital Innovation Academy Festival.

View original imageFive teams affiliated with this project group received the Technology Award, two Innovation Awards, the Future-Oriented Award, and the Idea Award at the event hosted by Busan City and the Busan Information Industry Promotion Agency on November 20 at BEXCO, Busan.
This software development contest was a competition to develop apps and web services using information and communication technology (ICT) with the theme of enhancing citizens' happiness and convenience. A total of 52 teams from 13 universities in the Busan area participated, and the winning teams were selected through online and offline consultations and two rounds of evaluations.
The Wave team from Pukyong National University (Oh Seo-jin, Kim Da-hyun, Min Ke-man, Oh Dong-hwan, Yoon Jeong-hwan) developed the "Busan Marine Sports and Experience Activity Information Service" and won the Technology Award (prize money of 800,000 KRW). The ChatUp School team (Lee Min-jae, Lim Yong-su, Somardi Tang, Heo Woo-hyang, Park Yoon-ah, Yang Ji-eun) developed an "Educational Service Using AI Chatbot," and the Bam-eun Gireo team (Jung Chae-won, Lee Jae-hoon, Moon Ji-woong, Lim Sung-kyun, No Shin-bi, Seo Beom-ju) developed a "Diet Management Platform Using Food Image Recognition Model," each winning the Innovation Award (prize money of 700,000 KRW).
Additionally, the Farmers team (Hyeong Do-hoon, Lee Jin-ho) developed a "Crop Disease Diagnosis Service" and won the Future-Oriented Award (prize money of 600,000 KRW), while the Mugungmujin team (Kim Beom-gyu, Park Hyun-jun, Park Ki-jae, Choi Se-yoon, Son Ga-yeol) developed a "Meeting Management Platform Service Using Blockchain and VR" and won the Idea Award (prize money of 500,000 KRW).
