At the meeting, Mayor Na Dong-yeon urged thorough prevention of disasters and safety accidents by preparing for the full-scale winter season through various disaster and wildfire prevention activities, pre-inspection and measures for icy sections, safety management at construction sites and multi-use facilities, and fire prevention activities.
In particular, he emphasized the need to devote full efforts to implementing comprehensive measures for the winter season, anticipating greater climate changes than usual. He also instructed each department to thoroughly check their assigned tasks to minimize inconveniences experienced by citizens in daily life by listening carefully to the hardships citizens may face during winter and closely monitoring whether any households are struggling.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of doing their best in safety management to ensure the smooth progress of the 18th Yangsan National Half Marathon scheduled for the 1st of next month. This event is expected to attract about 7,000 marathon enthusiasts and citizens, the largest scale ever, so preparations must be made with safety as the top priority and efforts to minimize inconvenience to citizens.
