Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Puts Care into Kimjang Kimchi to Support Our Neighbors This Winter
On the morning of the 22nd, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the '2024 Kimchi Making Sharing' event held at Mangwon Yusuji Sports Park.
The event, jointly hosted by the Saemaeul Women's Association (President Eo Suk-hee) and the Barugesalgi Movement Council (President Jeong Woo-sung), saw participation from Mayor Park Gang-su and over 200 members who carefully mixed seasoning into salted napa cabbages with great care.
The 2,000 bags of kimchi, completed with packaging, will be delivered to neighbors such as low-income families and elderly living alone, serving as a healthy side dish to help them endure the cold winter.

Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo District said, "Today, on 'Soseol,' the seasonal division for preparing for winter, your kimchi will be a reliable nourishment for neighbors worried about getting through the winter," adding, "I sincerely thank the Saemaeul Women's Association and the Barugesalgi Movement Council for delivering warmth to our neighbors, and Mapo District will do its best to ensure that the spirit of sharing overflows."
