Yoon Byung-tae, the mayor of Naju, Jeollanam-do, is visiting the National Assembly to make every effort to secure national funding for 2025.
According to the city on the 22nd, Mayor Yoon actively requested that the budget for major pending projects be reflected in the National Assembly by meeting with Park Jung, chairman of the Budget and Accounts Committee, Heo Young, secretary of the Budget and Accounts Committee, and National Assembly member Kim Young-hwan, along with Shin Jeong-hoon, chairman of the Administrative Safety Committee and a local district lawmaker, the day before.

View original imageThe major projects proposed this time include ▲design costs for establishing a future energy semiconductor industry support platform (1.4 billion KRW) ▲service costs for constructing the National Naju Energy Specialized Science Museum (200 million KRW) ▲service costs for developing 70kV-class new transmission power equipment specialized in distributed energy and building a testbed (200 million KRW) ▲stable support for the endowment fund of Korea Energy Polytechnic University (15 billion KRW), among others.
Although difficulties in securing national funding are expected due to the government's sound fiscal management policy, the city plans to make every effort until the final approval of the budget to ensure that national funding is reflected for major pending projects.
