Gyeonggi-do Holds Humanities Education Completion Ceremony for Homeless People... 21 Graduates
Gyeonggi Province held the 'Shoulder-to-Shoulder Humanities Education Completion Ceremony' on the 20th at Hanshin University Neutbom Hall.
Shoulder-to-Shoulder Humanities Education is a program introduced by Gyeonggi Province to support the restoration of self-esteem among homeless people and their reintegration into society. At this completion ceremony, 21 people graduated.
Since March, Gyeonggi Province has conducted a total of 34 sessions covering seven humanities subjects including art, travel, classics, film, history, sports arts, and writing, as well as two overnight two-day experiential camp classes.

Park Geun-tae, Director of Welfare Projects at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "The humanities classes, which are a collaboration between the public, private, and academic sectors, have become a strong guide for homeless people to restore their self-esteem and social relationships and return to society," and promised, "We send strong support to those who have experienced the humanities classes and are making a fresh start, and we will continue to support self-reliance programs for the homeless in the future."
