The "Toll Reduction Request" aims to address the discriminatory toll issue in the northern Gyeonggi region, where alternative transportation options are lacking, forcing residents to use the expressway despite high tolls. It calls for the government to actively implement the "same service - same fare" policy according to the toll management roadmap for the Pocheon~Guri section of the Pocheon~Sejong Expressway, which has relatively high tolls, and urges a reasonable reduction in toll fees.
Chairman Lim Jong-hoon stated, "Although the northern Gyeonggi region is a border area, it has been subject to various regulations due to its geographical specificity as part of the metropolitan area. The tolls on the Pocheon~Guri section of the expressway, which was promoted as a private investment project, are set higher than those of other expressways developed under the same private investment scheme, imposing a financial burden on residents of northern Gyeonggi."

He added, "Considering the public nature of the expressway, it is necessary to reasonably restructure the tolls for the Pocheon~Sejong Expressway’s Pocheon~Guri private investment section, and I urge a reduction in expressway tolls," explaining the reason for his proposal.
