Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Construction Headquarters announced on the 18th that it will conduct a safety inspection at the construction site of Section 1 to 6 (City Hall to Gwangju Station) of Phase 1 of Urban Railway Line 2 from the 20th to the 22nd.
This inspection will focus on preventing various safety accidents such as water supply and city gas, and to enhance effectiveness, a joint inspection team will be formed with related organizations such as the Waterworks Headquarters and Marine Energy Co., Ltd., according to the types of underground buried facilities for concentrated inspection.
The main inspection items include ▲ protective measures for exposed water supply and city gas pipes and their safe hanging status ▲ installation status and measurement management of earth retaining temporary facilities ▲ safety management of hazardous material storage and temporary electrical facilities ▲ management of construction materials and tidiness of the construction site.
The city plans to immediately correct minor issues on-site during the inspection, and for serious risk factors, it will implement urgent safety measures followed by detailed safety diagnosis and repair reinforcement as follow-up actions.
