Yuseong District Election Commission to Hold Daejeon City Council By-election on April 2 Next Year
Oncheon 1-dong, Oncheon 2-dong, and Noeun 1-dong voters to cast ballots from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Yuseong District Election Commission in Daejeon announced that a by-election for the 2nd constituency will be held on April 2 next year, following the death of Daejeon City Council member Song Dae-yoon.
This is in accordance with the Public Official Election Act, which stipulates that by-elections for local council members must be held on the first Wednesday of April each year.
Accordingly, voters in Oncheon 1-dong, Oncheon 2-dong, and Noeun 1-dong, which are part of the 2nd constituency of Yuseong District, will be able to vote at polling stations from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 2 next year.
Meanwhile, a total of 14 locations nationwide have been confirmed so far for the re- and by-elections scheduled for April 2025. These include 2 basic local government heads, 6 metropolitan council members, and 6 basic council members.
