Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Wins Korea Public Brand Award
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization won the grand prize in the tourism category at the '2nd Korea Public Brand Awards.'
The Korea Public Brand Awards are hosted by the Korea Public Brand Promotion Institute (KAPB) and target various organizations and groups that strive for public value, including local governments, central government ministries, public institutions, public enterprises, and private companies. This event was held for the second time this year, following last year.

Jo Won-yong, president of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, stated, "Our differentiated efforts such as street DMZ interviews and recommendations of DMZ restaurants seem to have been highly evaluated for showing the bright and positive images of the DMZ’s ecology, peace, and culture." He added, "Amid recent difficulties in inter-Korean relations, the value and symbolism of the DMZ have rather increased. We plan to continue promoting the special charm of the DMZ widely through digital channels and consistently advocate the value of ‘greater peace.’"
