Gyeonggi-do, Two Category Grand Prizes at Infectious Disease Response Practitioners Training Final Evaluation Competition
Gyeonggi Province received grand prizes in two categories at the Infectious Disease Response Field Worker Training Final Evaluation Competition.
On the 14th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it won grand prizes in two categories again this year at the ‘2024 Local Government Infectious Disease Response Field Worker Training (FETP-F) Final Evaluation Competition’ hosted by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
The local government infectious disease response field worker training is designed to strengthen the infectious disease response capabilities of infectious disease officers at city/provincial and city/county/district health centers, with about 230 participants this year.

View original imageThe final evaluation competition, held over two days from the 12th to the 13th, involved presentations of research projects selected as excellent projects within each city/province by all regional trainees, and evaluations were conducted in oral presentation and poster categories.
Jin-yi Kim, an officer from Icheon City, was honored with the grand prize in the oral presentation category for the topic “Conducting Syphilis Epidemiological Investigation through AI Chatbot Development.” In the poster category, Myung-ok Kim, an officer from Gwangju City, received the grand prize for the topic “Gwangju City’s Malaria Prevention and Promotion for Malaria Eradication by 2030.” Additionally, Kyung-joo Choi, an officer from Gunpo City, won the silver prize for the topic “Enhancing Continuous Response Capabilities through Visiting Infection Prevention Management Education.”
Gyeonggi Province also ranked first in both the oral presentation and poster categories at the 2023 final evaluation competition.
