Governor Noem is a loyalist who was once considered as a running mate (vice presidential candidate) for Trump. However, this was derailed after the publication of her memoir, which included an account of shooting a hunting dog. At the time, Governor Noem argued that it was to demonstrate the decisiveness to do one of the most terrible things in life if necessary.
