Busan National University Museum (President Choi Jae-won) announced on the 13th that it will hold a special exhibition titled "Masterpieces (名品), Leaving the Storage" to commemorate its 60th anniversary, along with the related "2024 Busan National University Museum MUSEUM Special Lecture Series."
The special lecture series, which will be held for four weeks from the 13th to December 4th, is expected to provide local residents with an opportunity for in-depth learning about the cultural heritage held by the Busan National University Museum.
The special lecture series, organized under the same theme as the 60th anniversary special exhibition "Masterpieces (名品), Leaving the Storage," will introduce in-depth research results on designated cultural heritage items held by the Busan National University Museum.
In particular, regarding the Busan City Tangible Cultural Heritage item "Jasuchakgeori Folding Screen," the characteristics and contents of the backing papers (additional papers) discovered during the complete dismantling and restoration process will be revealed for the first time. Additionally, the "Phoenix Pattern Wedding Bojagi," a ceremonial wrapping cloth used in the Joseon royal wedding, which is currently exhibited only in a few places such as the National Palace Museum of Korea, will be showcased, shedding new light on lesser-known Korean cultural heritage.

The lectures are scheduled as follows: ▲ November 13 - First Lecture: Giyeoknieun (其役尼隱)...
