The traditional wedding was conducted according to ceremonial procedures by Kim Woong-jo, Vice Director of Sungkyunkwan and former Jeon Damyang Hyanggyo Jeongyo, and was enhanced by performances such as the front play of the Damyang Wau Nongak Preservation Society and a performance by the singer Lee Heo-ryeon.
During the groom and bride's wedding procession, guests threw handfuls of red beans and rice to ward off misfortune and pray for a happy family. The guests congratulated the couples on their happy marriage and sponsored various household items, including a TV.
Following the traditional wedding, a family harmony event hosted by the Damyang-gun Family Center was held, featuring a family communication OX quiz, a cheerful sports day, and a raffle, allowing the whole family to participate together.
The traditional wedding and family harmony event were occasions where ‘diversity, not difference’ cultures blended, providing an opportunity for all families to communicate, understand different cultural backgrounds, and foster a community atmosphere of living together.
