Neowiz Reports 68% Drop in Q3 Operating Profit to 6.5 Billion KRW... Excluding 'P-ui Geojit' Launch Effect
Neowiz announced on the 12th that its consolidated sales for the third quarter of this year amounted to 93.1 billion KRW, a 21% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Operating profit for the same period recorded 6.5 billion KRW, down 68%. Net loss turned to 1.4 billion KRW.
Sales in the PC and console game segment were 36.9 billion KRW, a 33% decrease compared to the same period last year due to the removal of the effect from the release of P-ui Geojit. Mobile game sales were confirmed at 45.7 billion KRW, down 14%. Other sales increased by 12% compared to the same period last year, reaching 10.6 billion KRW.
Neowiz plans to strengthen its intellectual property (IP) competitiveness and expand its global PC and console lineup.
Brown Dust 2, which has established itself as one of Neowiz's major IPs, is scheduled for a large-scale update next month to celebrate its 1.5-year service anniversary. It will participate in Japan's largest subculture event, Comic Market, and Korea's subculture game and animation event, AGF 2024.

Next year, a DLC (downloadable content) for P-ui Geojit will be released. The company stated that it plans to include content expanding the main story and is currently focusing on improving the game's completeness. In addition, development has begun on new PC and console projects along with the sequel to P-ui Geojit. Furthermore, the company intends to actively pursue investment and publishing.
