Active Police Officer in His 50s Found Dead in Yeongju Hillside
An active police officer was found dead, prompting an investigation by the police.
According to Yonhap News Agency citing the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency on the 11th, "At around 12:20 PM on the previous day (the 10th), officials confirmed that A, a 50-year-old police lieutenant from the Traffic Division of Yeongju Police Station, was found dead on a mountain in Isan-myeon, Yeongju City." It is known that no suicide note has been found so far.
The police discovered him deceased on the mountain while searching for Lieutenant A following a report from his family that he had not returned home. The police plan to investigate the detailed circumstances by questioning family members and those around him.
