Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member Park Moon-ok: "A Half-Empty Women and Family Foundation Without Families"
Name Change Only... 'Female-Centric Projects' Persist
Calls for Expansion of Family Policies
Park Moon-ok, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly (Democratic Party of Korea·Mokpo 3), recently pointed out the business direction biased toward women's policies during the administrative audit of the Women and Family Foundation and urged the expansion of family policies.
Assembly member Park Moon-ok said, "It has been five years since the name was changed from Women’s Plaza to Women and Family Foundation, but the business direction still does not deviate from the existing framework and only repeats the past," and pointed out, "Contrary to the purpose of the name change, there is a lack of policy consideration for 'family.'"
She continued, "While I agree that the foundation's role in improving women's quality of life is important, a foundation biased to one side is only half complete. Various family policies should be actively discovered and promoted," and criticized, "The CI that shows the foundation's identity still uses the previous image as it is, failing to properly reflect the foundation's nature that encompasses families."
She then emphasized, "I hope the foundation will realize its original purpose of creating a Jeonnam where both women and families are happy by adjusting the business direction to implement the value of gender equality."
