SK Inno Holds 'Sky Day' to Share AI and Digital Transformation Achievements
CEO Park Sang-gyu: "Let's Make AI/DT Utilization a Daily Practice"
SK Innovation announced on the 10th that it held the '2024 SKI AI Day' at Walkerhill in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on the 8th.
SKI AI Day was launched for the first time this year to create an environment that utilizes AI and Digital Transformation (DT), which are core tools for operational improvement promoted by SK Innovation.

View original imageThe event was attended by about 100 people, including SK Innovation CEO Park Sang-kyu, executives, members of the AI/DT departments, and awardees of outstanding AI utilization cases. At the event, 24 teams were selected as outstanding cases out of 76 AI/DT utilization cases submitted from across the SK Innovation affiliates. Among them, four teams in the AI utilization category and four teams in the AI/DT agent category presented their best cases and participated in a Q&A session.
CEO Park said, "We must promote customer-centric operational improvements to strengthen our fundamental competitiveness and establish a business model capable of responding to changes in the market and customers. Let us create synergy by spreading success stories such as leaders and members normalizing the use of AI/DT and achieving AI/DT-based operational improvement tasks early."

Earlier, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won stated at the '2024 CEO Seminar' that "The operational improvements promoted by SK Group are a process of securing fundamental competitiveness, and to advance this, it is necessary to utilize AI well." He also proposed that young members and leaders suggest operational improvement plans incorporating AI to improve company policies and systems and to provide rewards commensurate with the results.
