Byeongno Lee, Damyang County Governor, Launches Full-Scale Effort to Secure National Funding for Next Year
Visit to the National Assembly... Meetings with the Budget Committee Chair and Ruling and Opposition Party Lawmakers
Recently, Lee Byung-no, the mayor of Damyang County, visited the National Assembly and met with Park Jeong-ha, a member of the People Power Party, to request national budget support for the next year. He then handed over a briefing document on local pending projects.

Lee Byeong-no, former mayor of Damyang County, Jeonnam, is making an all-out effort to secure the national budget for next year.
Damyang County, Jeonnam, announced on the 7th that Mayor Lee recently visited the National Assembly to request national funding support for local projects.
Mayor Lee met consecutively with Park Jeong, chairman of the National Assembly Budget and Accounts Special Committee, Lee Gae-ho of the Democratic Party, and Park Jeong-ha of the People Power Party, requesting the inclusion of national funds for local issues.
Mayor Lee proposed budget allocations for ▲ the creation of a modern missionary complex space on the Dalbit Railway Road ▲ Damyang County’s aged sewage pipeline maintenance project ▲ operation of the Gu(Rye), Gok(Seong), Sun(Chang), Dam(Yang) smart health bus for metropolitan cooperation between Jeonnam and Jeonbuk ▲ establishment and activation of a garden tourism network project ▲ New Village project in the Daechi district of Daejeon-myeon, appealing for the National Assembly’s attention and cooperation to overcome the crisis of local extinction.
Mayor Lee emphasized, “Securing national funds is essential to fulfill our promise to the residents to create a happy, self-reliant economic city together,” adding, “Despite difficult financial conditions, we will do our best to resolve local issues.”

Meanwhile, the government budget for next year is expected to be finalized in early December after passing through the National Assembly’s standing committees and the Budget and Accounts Special Committee.
