Naver News Search Service Temporarily Disrupted... Fully Restored in 20 Minutes
A service disruption occurred in the Naver News search tab but was restored in about 20 minutes.
According to the related industry on the 6th, from around 2:28 PM that day, an issue arose where articles for certain keywords were not being searched or displayed in the Naver News search field.
Naver announced the emergency system inspection through its customer center website. The company stated, "At around 2:28 PM, due to an internal system error, some search results did not appear when clicking the news tab in the integrated search," adding, "We took immediate recovery measures and were fully normalized by around 2:50 PM."

Regarding the specific cause of the service disruption, a Naver official said, "It is unrelated to DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) or a sudden surge in traffic," but added, "An error occurred because the gateway server, which serves as the traffic gateway, could not handle news search traffic due to a configuration error."
