Hamyang-gun Intensifies Promotion of Vaccinations to Prevent Winter Influenza and COVID-19 Outbreaks
"Free Simultaneous Influenza and COVID-19 Vaccination for Seniors Aged 65 and Over
"
The Hamyang-gun Public Health Center in Gyeongnam is intensively promoting vaccination so that it can be completed before the flu and COVID-19 outbreaks during the changing seasons and winter, considering that immunity develops 2 to 3 weeks after vaccination.
Free influenza vaccination is available for seniors aged 65 and older (born on or before 1959.12.31), pregnant women, and children aged 6 months to 13 years (born between 2011.1.1 and 2024.8.31). Vaccinations can be administered at public health institutions (health centers, health clinics) and designated medical institutions.
Those aged 14 to 64 (born between 1960.1.1 and 2010.12.31) are eligible for paid vaccination (vaccination fee 11,000 KRW) at the Hamyang-gun Public Health Center. Among the paid vaccination group, basic livelihood security recipients, persons with disabilities, and national merit recipients residing in Hamyang-gun can receive free vaccination by bringing relevant documents when visiting the health center.
Free COVID-19 vaccination is available for seniors aged 65 and older (born on or before 1959.12.31), immunocompromised individuals, residents and workers in infection-vulnerable facilities, and healthcare workers employed at medical institutions.
When visiting vaccination sites, please bring your ID. When visiting health clinics, vaccination days are designated according to the rotation schedule of public health doctors, so prior confirmation is required before visiting.
