Gyeonggi Province announced on the 6th that it will hold the 1st Gyeonggi Province Governor’s Cup ‘National Companion Dog Sports Competition’ at the Gyeonggi Human Resources Development Institute stadium from the 23rd to the 24th.

View original imageUnder the slogan “The Joy of Running Together,” this competition features the largest number of events in the country and is open to anyone regardless of team or affiliation. A unique adoption category for abandoned dogs has been newly established, and live broadcasts and commentary of the events for beginners will be provided on site.
The competition is divided by companion dog weight classes into Small (S), Medium (M), Medium-Large (I), and Large (L), and separated into adoption, student, and general divisions. The events include Beginner (1, 2, 3), Novice (1, 2), Jumping, Agility, and Flyball (Single, Pair).
Participants will be given the ‘Gyeonggi Province Companion Dog Sports Competition Regulations’ in advance. For the main events, three judges will evaluate the performances, and the top 10 winners in each category will receive the Gyeonggi Province Governor’s Award.
Participation in the companion dog sports competition is free. Application methods can be found on the Banryeomaru website and the Gyeonggi Animal Protection Welfare Platform.
