'ISO 30414' is a human capital reporting guideline published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2018, consisting of 58 indicators across 11 areas including costs, diversity, leadership, organizational culture, and productivity.
Global leading financial companies such as Deutsche Bank and Allianz also obtained the 'ISO 30414' certification in 2021 and 2022, respectively, to manage human capital.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) revised disclosure regulations in 2020 to mandate human capital disclosure for U.S.-listed companies, and in 2021, the Tokyo Stock Exchange in Japan amended its governance guideline, the 'Corporate Governance Code,' to require human capital disclosure for listed companies, reflecting a global trend toward strengthening human capital disclosure.
Considering these cases, KB Financial pursued the 'ISO 30414' certification as the first in the domestic financial sector.
A KB Financial official stated, "KB Financial is improving its structure in line with a new value-up paradigm that pursues qualitative growth beyond quantitative growth. Taking this opportunity of obtaining the 'ISO 30414' certification, we will systematically and transparently manage not only financial factors but also intangible assets to create a differentiated value-up vision unique to KB."
