View original imageOn the 4th, Kim Dong-geun, mayor of Uijeongbu City, conducted a 'Children Protection Zone (School Zone) Traffic Safety Campaign' at the main gate of Beodeulgae Elementary School.
About 70 participants, including members of the Green Mothers' Association, Uijeongbu Police Station, parents of Beodeulgae Elementary School students, and Provincial Assemblyman Kim Jeong-young, joined the campaign.
The participants promoted active participation in creating a safe traffic environment for commuting to and from school by guiding children on pedestrian crossings and complying with traffic regulations within the Children Protection Zone (School Zone).
The city conducted a total of nine traffic safety campaigns this year to spread traffic safety awareness and establish an advanced traffic culture, and on the day of the campaign, also inspected the safety conditions of nearby crosswalks and school routes.
