Yongsan-gu to Host Community Center Harmony Festival on the 6th
At Yongsan Art Hall Small Theater: Singing, Pungmulnori, and More
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will hold the "2024 Community Center Harmony Festival" on the 6th at the Garam Small Theater in Yongsan Art Hall. This Community Center Harmony Festival consists of a "Program Presentation" and an "Exhibition," serving as a festival to express the unique characteristics of each neighborhood and promote communication and harmony among residents.
The Program Presentation will take place at 3 PM on the same day at the small theater of Yongsan Art Hall, featuring performances such as singing, belly dance, pungmulnori (traditional Korean percussion performance), gugak (traditional Korean music), and janggu (Korean drum). Under the theme "Residents Are the Stars of the Stage," nine teams will represent their respective neighborhood community center programs and showcase the skills they have developed.
From the 4th to the 6th, the district will also hold an "Exhibition of Works" from community center programs at the exhibition hall of Yongsan Art Hall. The exhibition will display about 100 diverse works, including calligraphy, art, and calligraphy, all reflecting the sweat and dedication of the participants.
Meanwhile, as of October this year, Yongsan-gu operates 143 community center programs across 16 neighborhoods, with a total of 3,727 participants.
