Eunpyeong-gu to Host 'People Creating a Lifelong Learning City, Eunpyeong' on the 7th
Meet the Learning Experiences of Citizens Who Have Grown Through Lifelong Learning
Seoul Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 1st that, together with the Eunpyeong-gu Lifelong Learning Center, it will hold the event "2024 Gonggam Day: Lifelong Learning City, People Making Eunpyeong" on the 7th.
'2024 Gonggam Day' is a citizen-centered performance sharing event aimed at spreading the social value of lifelong learning by sharing the learning experiences and achievements of citizens who have grown through lifelong learning. It will take place on Thursday, the 7th, from 2 PM to 5 PM at Eunpyeong Hall in the Eunpyeong-gu Office, and anyone including lifelong learning activists, learners, stakeholders, and citizens can participate.
The main contents include a lifelong learning awards ceremony celebrating the growth of lifelong learners who participated throughout the year ▲ "Sharing the Joy of Growth," a session where citizens proactively share their experiences and achievements through lifelong learning ▲ a performance sharing session of the lifelong learning city for people with disabilities ▲ and traces of lifelong learning in daily life where people with and without disabilities learn together.
The event will begin with a congratulatory performance by 'Ouband' from the Eunpyeong-gu Welfare Center for the Disabled, followed by awards presented to learners, activists, clubs, and network organizations who have shown growth through lifelong learning.
Additionally, the 'Eunhasu' performance by the Eunpyeong Developmental Disabilities Lifelong Education Center and a message about lifelong learning in daily life shared by Center Director Ryu Seung-nam, focusing on lifelong learning for people with disabilities and those without, will be delivered.
The main segment of the event, "The Path of Lifelong Learning Made by Our Steps," will feature stories from lifelong learning activists. ON Learning Crew, Pyeonghagi, Learning Linker, Village Lecturers, Eunsang Project activists, English Library activists, Hidden Masters, and Neighborhood Learning Center Learning Planners will each share their lifelong learning experiences and values.
