Son Arrested in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul for Killing Father in His 70s: "He Usually Harassed His Mother"
A man in his 30s who killed his father in his 70s with a blunt weapon at a multi-family house in Yeokchon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, was arrested by the police.
On the 1st, the Seoul Western Police Station announced that they had urgently arrested Mr. A on the previous afternoon on suspicion of parricide. Mr. A is accused of using a blunt weapon to kill his father at his home on the 27th of last month.
Mr. A turned himself in to the police, saying, "I killed my father a few days ago." The police believe it is unlikely that Mr. A was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the crime.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated, "My father had been abusing my mother through domestic violence."
