Hantoo Asset Management Launches New ACE Korea Value-Up ETF
Korea Investment Trust Management announced on the 31st that it will newly list the ACE Korea Value-Up Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) on the 4th of next month.
The ACE Korea Value-Up ETF is a product that tracks the "Korea Value-Up Index" calculated and announced by the Korea Exchange. The Korea Value-Up Index is characterized by including 100 domestic listed stocks that meet market representative performance, profitability, and shareholder return criteria.
As a passive product, the ACE Korea Value-Up ETF plans to include most of the constituent stocks of the Korea Value-Up Index. As of the previous day, the Korea Value-Up Index constituents include stocks listed on the KOSPI such as △Samsung Electronics △SK Hynix △Korea Financial Group, and KOSDAQ stocks such as △Rino Industrial △Soulbrain.
Through this ETF listing, Korea Investment Trust Management has expanded its lineup of ETFs investing in shareholder (corporate) value enhancement to three. Previously, in 2022 and October of this year, Korea Investment Trust Management introduced the ACE Shareholder Return Value Active ETF and the ACE Life Asset Shareholder Value Active ETF.
Diversity of investment destinations has also been secured. The two previously listed products are active-type products, while the newly listed ACE Korea Value-Up ETF is a passive-type product, thereby expanding the range of choices for investors. In particular, unlike the two previously listed ETFs which focus on about 40 stocks each in large-cap value stocks (ACE Life Asset Shareholder Value Active) and small- and mid-cap value stocks (ACE Shareholder Return Value Active), the ACE Korea Value-Up ETF differs in that it diversifies investment across a wider range of products.
Nam Yong-su, Head of ETF Management at Korea Investment Trust Management, explained, "With the support of government-led value-up programs, the chronic undervaluation of the Korean stock market is expected to be resolved," adding, "This is why investors should pay attention to investing in stocks with high potential for corporate value enhancement."
