On the 30th (local time), the British Daily Mail reported that a woman in her 80s living near Montebelluna, close to Treviso, Italy, lost 50,000 euros (about 74 million won) that she had saved throughout her life. She had kept this large sum sewn inside the mattress she used. One day, forgetting that the money was inside, she threw the mattress away at a landfill.
After realizing her mistake, she immediately sought help from the police. Upon receiving the report, the police collaborated with local officials to thoroughly search the nearby area and found the mattress within about 30 minutes. The police stated, "If we hadn't found the mattress in time, it would have already been incinerated at the landfill. Fortunately, when the mattress was found, the woman was very happy. She seemed to look at least 10 years younger."
