It was recently revealed that three players from the Busan Facilities Corporation women's handball team saved a life at the scene of a vehicle rollover accident.
According to the Busan Facilities Corporation on the 28th, a vehicle rollover accident occurred around 1:30 PM on the 11th on a roadside in Dong-myeon, Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province. The driver was reported to have caused the accident by hitting the guardrail due to careless driving, resulting in the vehicle overturning.
While the driver was trapped inside the overturned vehicle and unable to move, Kim Da-young (LB Left Back), Jeong Ga-hee (LW Left Wing), and Shin Jin-mi (CB Center Back), players from the corporation’s women's handball team passing nearby, came to the rescue. They blocked the road with their own vehicle to secure the area and then pulled the trapped driver out of the vehicle. The players had been out from a nearby lodging when they happened to witness the accident scene.
After checking the driver’s health condition, the players quietly left the scene. This fact was only revealed two weeks later when the accident victim personally called the corporation to express gratitude. The driver said, "Thanks to the three players from the corporation, I survived. Without them, I wouldn’t be here today," expressing deep appreciation.
Player Kim Da-young stated, "I happened to witness the scene while passing near the lodging and couldn’t just pass by," adding, "I am truly relieved that we were able to safely rescue the driver at the accident site."
