View original imageThis project was established to support small business owners facing management crises, as unlike office workers, small business owners do not have the concept of maternity leave or parental leave, often having to suspend their business due to childbirth.
The city is actively promoting support for the management environment of small business owners through this project in line with Gyeongbuk Province’s locally led declaration of war against the low birthrate under the K-Low Birthrate initiative.
The Childcare Support Project provides up to 12 million KRW in labor costs for substitute personnel (assistants) for six months to minimize business interruptions caused by childbirth and to alleviate childcare burdens for small business owners or their spouses who have given birth.
Eligible applicants are small business owners or their spouses who gave birth between January 1 and the end of this year, reside in Pohang City, and have a business location within Gyeongbuk Province. Additionally, they must have been operating for at least one year as of the date of childbirth and have had sales of at least 12 million KRW in the previous year.
Applications can be submitted within six months after childbirth, from the 28th of this month until May 31 of next year. Those who gave birth before the announcement date can apply within six months from the announcement date.
Applications can be made through the Gyeongbuk Province mobile app ‘Moiso,’ and for eligibility requirements and other detailed information, inquiries can be directed to the Gyeongbuk Province Small Business Owner Counseling Center.
