Several elderly people who ate mushrooms at a senior center in Mungyeong, Gyeongbuk, were transported to the hospital with symptoms of mass food poisoning.
According to health authorities on the 28th, at around 8:54 PM, a report was received by 119 emergency services from a senior center in Hogye-myeon, Mungyeong-si, stating that "10 women in their 70s to 90s who cooked and ate mushrooms are experiencing abdominal pain and diarrhea." They were transported to the hospital by paramedics, treated, and all have since been discharged.
