Korea & Company Donates Batteries for Electric Mobility Aids to Welfare Facilities
On the 29th, Korea & Company announced that it had delivered 300 electric mobility aid batteries to the Hanbat Center for Independent Living for the Disabled in Seo-gu, Daejeon, and the Wanju-gun Welfare Center for the Disabled in Jeonbuk. This is part of a project supporting dedicated batteries installed in electric wheelchairs or scooters for mobility-impaired individuals such as people with disabilities. Each facility has been participating in the battery sharing project for 13 and 11 years, respectively. The lifespan of electric mobility aid batteries is typically about 1 to 2 years, and depending on driving distance and conditions, they sometimes need to be replaced within a year. Recently released electric mobility aids tend to consume more power due to new features. Accordingly, the company improved the existing 50Ah model to a maximum capacity of 68Ah and provided support.
