TikTok Hosts First Domestic 'TikTok Awards' Creator Festival
Global short-form video platform TikTok announced on the 29th that it will hold the first-ever TikTok Awards in Korea on November 15th at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall in Seoul.
The TikTok Awards is a ceremony that highlights the efforts of TikTok creators who have contributed to the growth of the TikTok community and encourages the creation of creative content. It has been held overseas in countries such as the UK, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

View original imageAs this is the first time the awards will be held in Korea, about 250 well-known domestic creators will gather in one place. Attendees include top creators representing various fields such as 'Meoksuna,' a mukbang creator who was invited as Korea’s representative to the global creator festival VidCon; 'Jade,' who delights audiences with various interviews and gaming content; 'Jyun Unni,' who led the domestic Dubai chocolate craze; and 'Nitmolkash,' who has even appeared on terrestrial broadcasting with the content 'Jaljayo Agassi.'
There are a total of 16 award categories. These include awards for creators and content that led trends this year, such as ▲Creator of the Year and ▲Video of the Year, as well as ▲Rising Creator of the Year to encourage promising new creators. Additionally, awards such as ▲Comedy Creator of the Year, ▲Lifestyle Creator of the Year, ▲Best Chemistry of the Year, and ▲Ambassador of the Year will spotlight creators who have excelled in their respective fields.
