Gijang-gun, Geumyang Co., Ltd., and Korea Polytechnic University Join Hands for Customized Employment Creation
Cooperation for Creating Quality Jobs in Future Growth Industries
Gijang County (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 28th with Geumyang Co., Ltd. (CEO Ryu Gwang-ji) and Korea Polytechnics VII Dongbusan Campus (Dean Lee Chang-yeol) for "Job Creation through Customized Professional Workforce Training for Companies."

At the signing ceremony, Gijang County Governor Jeong Jong-bok, Geumyang Co., Ltd. Vice President Lee Gwang-yong, and Korea Polytechnics VII Dongbusan Campus Dean Lee Chang-yeol attended and agreed to cooperate in creating customized employment for future growth industries.
The agreement focuses on simultaneously providing opportunities for professional workforce education and quality employment, with Gijang County taking a leading role in the overall conclusion of this agreement and linking local professional workforce training with job creation.
Geumyang Co., Ltd. plans to build a cylindrical battery factory this year in the Dongbusan E-PARK Industrial Complex and start full-scale mass production of products from next year, expecting large-scale job creation through phased investments in the future.
Korea Polytechnics VII Dongbusan Campus plans to open a department related to secondary batteries in 2026 and recruit trainees, who will be employed by Geumyang Co., Ltd. after completing the series of courses.
