This project aims to prevent and manage solitary deaths by providing promotional items containing customized welfare information to 200 residents of goshiwons and low-income young single-person households. The leaflet includes information on various welfare programs such as ▲support projects for single-person households ▲housing welfare ▲emergency welfare ▲Care SOS ▲customized care services for the elderly.
The district plans to distribute the promotional items by visiting about 130 goshiwons that do not meet the minimum housing standards, such as lacking a private standing kitchen or private flush toilet, or having less than 14㎡ per person, and hanging the items on door handles. In addition, in connection with the Gangseo Youth Nest Project, which supports donations and sponsorships from companies and organizations to low-income youth, promotional items will also be delivered by courier to 200 young single-person households.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "We are promoting a project that provides customized welfare information to proactively prevent and manage solitary deaths, which is a social issue we must solve together," and added, "We will continue to strive to build a dense social safety net to provide necessary welfare services to vulnerable households."
