Police to Deploy 3,012 Personnel for Halloween Crowd Safety Management
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency will provide safety management support focusing on areas expected to be crowded during the Halloween period from the 25th to the 31st.
On the 24th, the police announced that they will collaborate with the city and local governments to conduct special management centered on 15 major areas within the city where crowds are expected during the Halloween period, as classified by the Seoul city government.
The Seoul Police Agency also selected 25 narrow alleys with high crowd density risk, considering factors such as crowd concentration, road width, and slope, and plans to strengthen safety management support focusing on these areas.
The police will deploy 3,012 officers this coming weekend (including 1,234 patrol officers, 740 riot police, and 306 mobile patrol officers) to areas such as Hongdae, Itaewon, and Gangnam Station, working jointly with local government staff.
Additionally, the Seoul Police Agency and major police stations in Mapo, Yongsan, and Gangnam will be on emergency duty this weekend and plan to adjust the duration and scope of emergency duty depending on the crowd situation.
