29th 'Geumcheon Residents' Day' Ceremony Unites Through Concert... Business Awards Presented to Shin A T&C and Others
October 23rd, 3 PM: Geumnarae Art Hall to Host Geumcheon Residents' Day Ceremony
Over 600 Residents Attend, Creating a Space for Community Unity and Cultural Enjoyment
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that on the 23rd at 3 PM, the 29th ‘Geumcheon Residents' Day’ commemorative ceremony was successfully concluded at the Geumnarae Art Hall performance venue.
This event added significance by simplifying the ceremony and holding it in the form of a special concert that any resident could enjoy.
About 600 people attended the event, including Geumcheon-gu Mayor Yu Seong-hoon, Lee In-sik, Chairperson of the District Council, council members, and representatives from various sectors of the community, illuminating the occasion.
The event began with a screening of the award-winning works from the ‘4th Geumcheon Fashion Film Festival’ and was divided into Part 1, the commemorative ceremony, and Part 2, the concert. During Part 1, awards were presented to Geumcheon residents and businesspeople who contributed to regional development, followed by commemorative and congratulatory speeches, and a congratulatory performance by the district choir.
The Geumcheon Residents Award honored seven recipients: ▲ Ko Young-tae (community service) ▲ Na Yi-gyun (community service) ▲ Lee Jeong-soon (community service) ▲ Choi Sang-gyu (community service) ▲ Kim Jeom-suk (morality and customs) ▲ Song Il-bong (culture) ▲ Heo Young-rok (sports).
The Businessperson Award was given to eleven business leaders: ▲ Shin AT&C (CEO Choi Chun-gu) ▲ Shinpo Metal (CEO Noh Dae-hoon) ▲ Jeongyeon (CEO Kim Gwon-ja) ▲ I’m U (CEO Choi Jae-seop) ▲ Shinseong C&S (CEO Jeon Seong-woo) ▲ Goryeo Machinery (CEO Lee Won-tae) ▲ Mir Nine (CEO Jeong Gwang-gyun) ▲ Code Three (CEO Park Hee-chan) ▲ E-Biz Way (CEO Jo Seong-yeon) ▲ Master Korea (CEO Lim Byeong-gap) ▲ CQ High (CEO Park Geun-yong).
In Part 2, the ‘Neighborhood Good City Geumcheon Concert’ was held. Eight popular singers, including Tae Jin-ah, Choi Yuna, Kang Hye-yeon, and Park Sang-chul, performed, allowing residents to enjoy trot music together.
Due to limited seating, residents who could not enter the venue were able to watch the ceremony and concert live via a large LED screen installed in the district office plaza and a video display screen (media art wall) in the lobby.
Additionally, a live broadcast was streamed through the Geumcheon-gu Office YouTube channel to enable more residents to participate in the event.
Mayor Yu Seong-hoon of Geumcheon-gu said, “I am pleased to have spent a meaningful time with many residents on ‘Geumcheon Residents' Day.’ Over the past 29 years, thanks to the efforts of all residents, Geumcheon has developed into a more livable city. Moving forward, I will do my best to communicate with residents and open a ‘Confident New Geumcheon Era’ where everyone lives well.”
