At the event, Yoon Hye-seon, President of the Gyeonggi-do Women's Association Yangju Branch, Lee Jong-hyeok, Chairman of Jangheung Nonghyup, Oh Jeong-su, Branch Manager of Nonghyup Yangju Branch, and staff from the Agricultural Policy Support Team of the Nonghyup Central Association participated to share the purpose of the Nonghyup-wide 'Eat Breakfast Movement' and the excellence of Yangjugol Rice, and also signed an MOU between Nonghyup and the Gyeonggi-do Women's Association to promote rice consumption.
The Eat Breakfast Movement is being carried out nationwide by Nonghyup as a rice consumption promotion campaign involving the entire Nonghyup organization and the public, in response to intensified rice stock surpluses, reduced sales volume due to decreased rice consumption, and declining rice prices, to strengthen Nonghyup's fundamental role for farmers.
